Janet’s portraiture is dramatic yet beautiful, strong yet fragile, reflective yet confident. In a single sculpture, her works can reveal an entire narrative; they are truly conversational pieces. They are imagination laced with inspiration from poignant scenes such as mother with child capturing the heart rendering protection scene, through to ‘Transformation’; a dramatic presentation of women striding from rock epitomising confidence. Then there’s the ‘Inner man’ which captures an expression of apprehension mixed with expectation.
