              Public Sculpture

“The Rainbow Serpent” completed October 9th 2005 was a collaboration between the Erskineville Public School teachers, P&C, school students and Tom Bass Sculpture Studio School and five former/advanced students of the school; myself included.

The serpent is a cement direct render over a steel armature and measures approximately H100cm x L1400cm and will be fully landscaped with softfall and native grasses. The framework for the serpent was completed in the sculpture school while the rendering was done on site. The entire process was able to be followed by the school students by visits to the sculpture school and the rendering process in the school grounds.
